FREQUENT FLYER SIMS is a Louisville-based business, with the objective to provide dedicated, affordable flight simulator training to aviation enthusiasts and aspiring and accomplished pilots alike. FREQUENT FLYER SIMS offers an FAA-certified, Advanced Aviation Training Device (AATD) flight simulator allowing pilots to log hours toward certifications and ratings.
Pilots — expand your training capabilities and keep your skills sharp while extending your budget! No need to cancel your training due to poor weather or aircraft unavailability caused by maintenance downtime. There's no aviation fuel driving up your training costs! Instructors — teach the core building blocks of flight and advanced procedures with realism in a controlled environment. Train pilots to a higher level of competency by practicing high-risk maneuvers too dangerous to practice in airplanes. Comprehension and proficiency of techniques are obtained faster, translating to lower costs and quicker results. Abnormal and emergency procedures are learned without risk to students, staff or aircraft. Severe weather, terrain or obstruction conflicts can be demonstrated without risk of exposure. With a world-wide terrain database to support 200-degree wrap-around visuals, the pilot encounters an immersive and realistic experience from the cockpit without leaving the ground. In just minutes, the simulator can be changed into a C172 with analog gauges, to a Beech G36 with a glass panel and autopilot, to a SR22 Perspective, to a Baron 58 with 430/530, or a Diamond DA42 with a G1000. You get the idea! 30+ configurations in all. Gone are the days of saying flight simulators “don’t feel like the real thing.” Utilizing an industry leading force feedback system allows the pilot to learn how the aircraft controls feel at various trim and airspeed combinations. In fact, you’ll be able to effectively teach the core building blocks of flight on the ground before the student ever tries to manhandle the real aircraft into level flight. Learning to properly communicate with ATC is one of the most challenging things for new pilots to learn and one of the hardest things for flight instructors to teach. In fact, most student pilots claim that learning the radio is the second most difficult thing about learning to fly. Not anymore! Unlike any other communication training solution on the market, this flight simulator is uniquely designed to allow the pilot to practice radio communications during a flight simulation session under the most realistic conditions possible. This allows for appropriate calls and enforces a proper response during flight. Requiring a flight instructor to monitor and act as ATC, while at the same time completing the normal duties of flight training, can be overwhelming and will often lead to the instructor letting improper radio calls slide. That is no longer an issue. The simulator sends flight data to a controller's radar screen and as in the real world, the pilot and controller must establish communications with one another to safely and successfully fly. This requires no assistance from the instructor who now is able to focus on other aspects of teaching. Fully integrated, the pilot must first be on the correct frequency before talking with the controller through their headsets. The realism becomes immersive! The instructor can monitor a training session from outside the simulator and view it from a variety of angles, both inside and outside the aircraft. Flights can also be recorded and viewed for playback during a debriefing session. Specific training scenarios can be quickly setup, flown and repeated as necessary until the pilot achieves proficiency. All of this flight training capability is contained in a climate-controlled trailer. We come to you! |
